Parties in Soul's Remnant: Party XP & How to Group

Overview

Partying is strongly recommended in Soul's Remnant — players report that grouping roughly doubles your benefit, including XP. Most launch-day guides tell new players to party up, and even a random party beats solo play in the crowded starter zone.

Nothing forces you to group: early content is soloable, dungeons can be entered alone, and the first dungeon is reported as soloable at level 10. Parties simply make everything faster.

How party XP works

1. Step label — Invite other players, then grind in the same area — party benefits apply while members fight nearby.
2. Step label — EXP from monster kills is shared between members, with distribution based on damage dealt to the slain monsters.
3. Step label — Party kills grant bonus party XP on top of normal player XP — the "double benefit" players talk about.
4. Step label — Idle members do not earn the party bonus — party XP only counts while teammates are actively grinding.
5. Step label — If the level gap between you and a party member exceeds 10, the free XP from their kills starts to lessen; at a large enough gap you gain zero, including bonus party XP.

Solo play

You can play solo from start to finish — no mechanic forces a party. Early content is soloable, and the level 10 Slime Garden dungeon is reported as doable alone at level 10. Tougher dungeons past the first are a different story; bring friends for anything beyond the starter dungeon.

Boosted spawn rates

Soul's Remnant boosts a map's spawn rate based on how quickly its monsters are being slain. This works without a party too, but a party kills faster and keeps the boost rolling — another reason grouping pays off during a grind.

Tip: party with players near your own level — a gap of more than 10 levels eats into your shared XP.
