Soul's Remnant Leveling: Fast XP, Grind Spots & Multipliers

Overview

Player EXP in Soul's Remnant comes from monster kills, dungeons, minigames, quests and party quests — and the party system changes the math in your favour. Kills in a party grant bonus party XP on top of normal player XP, which is why grouping is the single best leveling move at launch.

Multipliers stack with each other, so line them up before a long session: monster research, the daily 2x EXP coupon, Darkness Crystal blessings and the party bonus all apply to the same kills.

Stack the multipliers

1. Step label — Party up — party kills grant bonus party XP on top of normal XP.
2. Step label — Research your monsters — press B; research level 3 gives +5% EXP and level 4 adds +10% drop chance.
3. Step label — Use the 2x EXP coupon for a 15-minute doubled window — and stay on your channel.
4. Step label — Clear Darkness Crystals for a random 10-minute map buff (+7% damage, +10% EXP / skill EXP / drops / soul crystals).
5. Step label — Hunt Mighty and Shiny monsters when they spawn — Shiny monsters can grant up to 87x player EXP in some cases.

What to watch out for

If a Darkness Crystal is not cleared within 50 monster kills, all EXP and item drops on that map are blocked until it is dealt with. Leveling was also slowed for launch — players report roughly a quarter of the old playtest rate — so grinding monsters near your level beats fighting over starter-zone spawns.

Tip: the 2x EXP coupon comes only from the daily quest, and switching channels can wipe the buff — a known launch bug.
